Bovikalc is a unique bolus formulation of calcium that provides calcium chloride for quick blood serum calcium levels and calcium sulphate for sustained blood serum calcium levels over time. The bolus formulation, when delivered properly, is swallowed and leaves nothing to be spit out. A fat coating over each bolus helps protect the cow’s throat. The bolus formulation also reduces the risk of calcium chloride aspiration pneumonia. For use as an oral mineral nutritional supplement to provide a source of calcium in freshening cows.
