Each 80 grams provides: sodium, 134 mEq; potassium, 22.8 mEq; magnesium, 6.6 mEq; bicarbonate, 81 mEq; chloride 75.8 mEq; dextrose, 68 grams.
| Directions | Preparation of Oral Solution: Dissolve 80 g ( 1/3 cup) of CALF QUENCHER calf electrolyte formula in water and dilute to a total volume of 1 quart or dissolve 240 g (1 cup) of CALF QUENCHER in water and dilute to a total volume of 3 quarts. Administer the oral solution by feeding or drench at the rate of 1 quart per 60 pounds bodyweight 3-4 times a day for 2 days as the only source or oral fluids. For the following 2 days the oral solution should be diluted 1:1 with milk replacer and given at feeding time. |
