Uses
Salix is an effective diuretic possessing a wide therapeutic range by promoting the rapid removal of excess fluid that can build up as a result of kidney failure, heart failure and other medical problems. It may also be used to treat high blood pressure.
Possible Side Effects
Your pet may experience dehydration, abnormal urine production, electrolyte imbalances, vomiting, weakness, increased heart rate, depression or restlessness. If any of the following side effects occur, or others that are not listed, please contact your veterinarian immediately.

Furosemide, Lactose Monohydrate, Starch, Corn, Cellulose, Microcrystalline, Magnesium Stearate, FD&C Yellow No. 5.
Precautions
Do not use in animals who are allergic to sulfa drugs or furosemide. This medication may increase urination. Be cautious using Salix in animals with diabetes mellitus and kidney disease.
