When mixed as directed with water, psyllium husk forms a gel that reduces the volume of fluid flushed into the large intestine, thereby allowing for greater nutrient absorption and rehydration success. Non-medicated; no withdrawal.
| Directions | For use in newly born to weaning aged calves. Add two level scoops or, one 105-gram packet with 1-1/2 to 2 quarts of warm water (100 °F). Mix vigorously and administer immediately. After initial feeding, give again at 12 and 24 hours. For calves under 60 lbs, reduce amount by half. |
