This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses 10 months of age or older against viremia caused by West Nile virus. Field safety testing has demonstrated that this product is safe for use in horses 3 months of age or older. Efficacy has not been established in foals 3 months of age. This product is also safe for use as a single dose during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Directions: Shake well. Aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly. Healthy horses should receive two doses administered 3-6 weeks apart. For advice on revaccination frequency or in the face of stress or exposure, contact your veterinarian or the manufacturer.
Precautions: Store at 2°-8°C. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct sunlight may adversely affect potency. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Transient local reactions may occur at the injection site. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Contains formalin, thimerosal, neomycin, and polymyxin B as preservatives. Do not mix with other products. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.
