A laxative for horses for use as an aid in the elimination and expelling of foreign material from the digestive tract. When administered via a stomach tube, it has a lubricating and stool-softening action. It can also be used as a top dress following stomach-tube administration to help maintain a soft and lubricated stool for horses that habitually eat or consume sand and other undigestible feedstuffs. Primary active ingredient is psyllium.
| Directions | For lubrication/stool softening: Mix 8 oz of product with 2 to 3 quarts of water for horses weighing 600 to 900 lbs. Administer by stomach tube immediately after mixing. For follow-up therapy: Top dress 8 to 12 oz on feed daily for horses weighing 600 to 900 lbs for 5 to 7 days after stomach tube administration. For prophylactic use: For horses that eat sand or other indigestible feedstuffs, top dress over feed 4 to 8 oz once a day for a 600 to 900 lbs horse. |
